Bling! Paper Doll for the Oshkosh Museum

The Oshkosh Wisconsin Public Museum is showcasing an exciting fashion exhibition that traces the history of extravagant style from 1860 to 1960. David Wolfe was commissioned to create a paper doll book featuring outfits from the museum's extensive collection. A trio of dolls and 18 costumes are lavishly illustrated in color. Accompanying text by Scott Jorgenson, close-up detail photographs by Bill Krueger. The book begins with a brilliant rose colored hoop-skirt dress and traces the changing effects of bling in fashion.fantastic embroidery early in the 20th century, Jazz Age fringe for flappers and on to fur-trimmed bias satin, lace and tulle and sequins, too. "Bling" is a beautifully reproduced book for paper doll collectors and fashion historians. A limited edition, produced by the Oshkosh Publich Museum store.
